French National Anthem Sequence
For the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, I was commissioned to design and produce the visuals for the French national anthem sequence.
The scenography was articulated through two primary surfaces: the LED floor, hosting the musicians and performers, and the large-scale “Collina” screen, dedicated to the projection of the main film. The visual direction encompassed both elements, ensuring spatial coherence and a unified aesthetic language.
The LED floor was structured around a system of gradients radiating from the central axis of the stage, aligned with the conductor’s position, and extending outward toward the perimeter of the screen. This radial expansion reinforced the musical dynamics while remaining in dialogue with the lighting design. The approach aimed to support the overall light show while affirming a distinct and cohesive visual identity.
On the Collina screen, the film was augmented with additional visual effects to heighten the sensation of speed and immersion, enhancing its impact within the monumental scale of the event.
