NOX ARMONIA
Nox Armonia is a generative artwork inspired by the vastness of the cosmos. Thousands of particles, like distant stars, form a central constellation that drifts in an endless, contemplative dance. Their subtle and unpredictable movements constantly redraw a shifting celestial map, a reflection of the universe’s richness and diversity.
At its core, the piece is driven by algorithms that autonomously control the particles’ motion, attraction and repulsion, as well as their size and hue. Entirely self-sustained, the system generates a new visual composition every moment, offering a perpetually evolving experience. The colors, drawn from an AI-generated library of nebulae, evoke the layered complexity of space through imagined forms.
The title Nox Armonia (Latin for “night harmony”) hints at a celestial symphony orchestrated by the stars. Inspired by the Roman goddess Nox, the work embodies the mysterious beauty of the infinite and suggests a quiet intimacy between the night sky and the unknown. It invites viewers to lose themselves in the stillness of the stars and to wander through the uncharted.
